The Status of Knowledge Management in Iranian National Policy Documents

Nowadays knowledge management, like many other new concepts in management, has gained more prominence in the public sector. Moreover, it has turned into a source of competition in the public sector. Implementing and establishing knowledge management can contribute to the aforementioned areas and public sector. Knowledge management is still at its embryonic stage in the public sector in Iran. In order to expand our awareness of the concept of knowledge management in the public sector, the national policy documents and previously conducted studies in this area were scrutinized and library studies were used to identify and extract the major factors underlying the establishment of knowledge management in the public sector.
